The Institute of Education in the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a


Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L, 100%)

for the externally funded project Constructing Learning Outcomes in Europe: A Multi-Level Analysis of (Under)Achievement in the Life Course commencing on 1 September 2024. We are offering a fixed-term fulltime position until 30 September 2025.

Your tasks:

  • Independent research on the externally funded project (interpretation, analysis and comparison of results, reporting and publication)
  • Active participation in project-related events (consortium meetings, workshops, conferences)
  • Independent production of project- and research-related publications (policy briefs, research articles)
  • Organisation of and contribution to further training activities within the project consortium
  • -Presentation of the project results at national and international forums

Our expectations:

  • A graduate degree (such as a master’s degree or German Diplom) and a completed PhD study in education or other comparable fields (e.g., sociology, political science, international relations)
  • Excellent command of English
  • Acquaintance with international and comparative education and life course research
  • Experience working in international and/or other third-party-funded projects
