The Institute of Business Administration at the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a
Doctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L, 65%)
at the earliest possible date. We are offering a part-time position (65%) on a fixed-term basis for three years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

Our Institute (https://www.uni-muenster.de/Chemie.bm/en/index.shtml) brings together expertise in chemistry, management and technology to address the full spectrum of economic and environmental issues in the chemical industry and related sectors such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences. We produce interdisciplinary research in four interrelated areas: 1) Innovation and technology management, 2) Electrochemical energy storage technologies, 3) Sustainability and circular economy, and 4) Business models. Your tasks:
- Independently conducting research in business chemistry
- Support the acquisition of research funding
- Teaching
- Supervision of master’s theses
This position is tied to working towards a doctoral qualification.
Our expectations:
- A graduate degree (master’s or equivalent) in business chemistry, chemistry or a closely related field is required.
- A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
- German language skills are not required, but a desire to learn would be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of academic research practices are desirable.
- Having completed internships in consulting companies or chemical/pharmaceutical companies would be welcomed.
- Team-oriented and good communication skills as well as the ability to independently manage projects are essential.
