Mathematics Münster is establishing a DFG funded Research Training Group (RTG) on the “Rigorous Analysis of Complex Random Systems” (www.uni-muenster.de/MathematicsMuenster/RTG-Probability/). We seek to employ methods from probability theory, mathematical analysis and related fields to understand how probabilistic systems, modelled on a microscopic scale behave effectively on macroscopic scales. Within this RTG we are seeking to fill a position as
to commence on 1 October 2025 or soon thereafter. We are offering this full-time, fixed-term position for 3 years.
The position is designed to support the pursuit of further qualification for an academic career.
You will be an integral part of a joint research initiative that includes a rich qualification and research programme as well as many scientific activities. Moreover, as a member of the Mathematics Münster Postdoc Programme you will be a vital part of the international research community within the Cluster of Excellence. You are encouraged to establish your research profile in our inspiring research environment, amongst internationally renowned mathematicians, and will benefit from the career development opportunities designed to foster your scientific independence. Guidance in your academic endeavours is provided by a mentor chosen from among the investigators of the RTG.
