The prospective appointee should be an outstanding, internationally distinguished figure who can represent the entire spectrum of research and teaching in the subjects of German criminal law and criminal procedural law. The candidate should also have achieved visible distinction in a specific field of criminal law (preferably international European or economic criminal law).
