The Institute of Organic Chemistry in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a
Doctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L)
commencing on 1 July 2025. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (50%) for 3 years.
Your tasks:
- This position is tied to working towards a doctorate
- Collaboration in research and teaching
- Conducting independent research
Our expectations:
- A graduate degree in Chemistry (i.e. master’s degree) in the field of Organic Chemistry is required.
- Good theoretical knowledge in the field of Organic Chemistry is required.
- Training as researcher in the fields of synthetic organic and photocatalysis is required.
- Experience in the preparative laboratory techniques including synthesis, handling and characterization of sensitive organic chemical compounds, as well as acridinium chemistry is required.
- Practical experience in analytical methods used in organic chemistry (analytical and preparative HPLC, GC- & NMR-Spectroscopy, UV-Vis, etc.), as well as conductivity analysis techniques is required.
- Good command of written and spoken English is advantageous.
- Soft skills such as team-oriented, good communication skills, organisational skills, working independently and creativity are desirable.
