The Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a
Postdoctoral Research Associate (Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in, salary level E 13 TV-L)
at the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 3 years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:
- Development of a test setup for in-situ Raman measurements in pharmaceutical processes
- Evaluation of temperature exposure of particles during processing using coupled CFD-DEM simulation
- Participation in the research activities of the institute and support for Prof Steiner’s working group
- Supervision of students during practical courses in the laboratory and their master thesis
- Support in the organisation of the working group’s activities
- Participation in joint research projects and preparation of research proposals
Our expectations:
- A graduate degree (German Staatsexamen or Diplom and/or master’s degree) and a completed PhD in pharmacy, process engineering, physics or a related discipline is required
- Experience in simulation using coupled CFD-DEM is highly desirable, knowledge of at least one of these simulation methods is required -
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical processes is an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English is essential
- German language skills would be desirable for teaching students of pharmacy
- Further desirable skills include the ability to work in an (international) team, good communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently
