The Institute of Integrative Cell Biology and Physiology in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Münster is inviting applications for a
Doctoral Research Associate Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (salary level 13 TV-L, 65%) in the field of developmental cell biology
at the earliest possible date. We are offering a part-time position (65%) on a fixed-term basis for three years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:
- The position is tied to working towards a doctorate (Ph.D.) in the field of developmental cell biology and genetics.
- In the three-year project, mechanistic questions related to organ morphogenesis and cell migration in Drosophila melanogaster are to be addressed using genetic, molecular and imaging techniques.
- Teaching duties involve supervision of undergraduate students at the Bachelor and Master level.
Our expectations:
- The prerequisite for this appointment is a M.Sc. degree in biology, biochemistry or another related discipline.
- Candidates with a strong background in cell or developmental biology, molecular biology or genetics are encouraged to apply.
- Applications from candidates interested in quantitative imaging are especially welcome.
- A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
- German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
